Methodology

How every Threadkin programme is built.

Threadkin programmes follow a consistent design principle: each session ends with something the participant takes away and can use without returning. This is built into the planning of every workshop, not offered as a bonus.

Sessions begin with an intake conversation — either by phone or in person — to understand what the household currently has, what gaps it would like to address, and which programme fits. No one is encouraged to book a programme that exceeds what they actually need.

All three programmes use a written curriculum reviewed each year. The curriculum is not a script — it allows room for the participant's specific situation — but its core framework stays consistent across all bookings. What one participant learns about folder design is the same method another learns in a different month.

Participants are never asked to share information beyond what is useful for the session. Sessions are educational. The educator facilitates; the participant decides what to include, what to organise, and what to do next.

Programme 01

Personal Records Starter Appointment

฿ 5,800 · One session · 1 hour

A focused one-hour appointment in which an educator helps a participant build the first version of their personal records archive. The session covers folder design, label conventions, and a simple index structure that the participant can update as their collection grows — or share with a family member who may need to access it.

All materials — folders, labels, and a small printed index guide — are included in the appointment. The session is purely organisational. It does not involve any review, interpretation, or handling of document content. The educator does not read documents; they help the participant build a structure around them.

  • Folder design and label system built in session
  • Simple index created and handed over on paper
  • All materials included — nothing to purchase separately
  • Suitable for individuals or participants bringing one family member

Process

  1. 01. Intake call to understand what documents the participant handles most often
  2. 02. One-hour session at the Threadkin studio in Chatuchak
  3. 03. Folder system built and labelled during the session
  4. 04. Printed guide and index handed over at close

Programme 02

Family Conversation Workshop

฿ 16,500 · Two sessions · Small group

A two-session workshop in which a small group learns a structured framework for sensitive family conversations. The framework covers four stages: how to open a conversation on a difficult topic, how to listen without interrupting, how to summarise what has been said accurately, and how to close with care.

Sessions use gentle prompts and role-play exercises built from prepared, anonymous examples — not from participants' personal situations. Nothing in the workshop is personal advice or mediation. Participants take home a printed reference guide they can refer to later, or use to practise the method with a family member who was not present.

  • Two sessions, typically one week apart
  • Small group format — typically four to six participants
  • Structured four-stage dialogue framework taught
  • Printed reference guide to take home

Process

  1. 01. Brief intake form to understand level of familiarity with structured dialogue
  2. 02. Session one: framework introduction, examples, first role-play practice
  3. 03. Gap week for optional independent practice
  4. 04. Session two: review, extended practice, printed guide distributed

Programme 03

Household Records Coordination Programme

฿ 29,500 · Five weeks · Home visits included

A guided five-week programme for households who want to build a calm, well-labelled archive of their shared long-term records. An educator visits the home once each week, working with the household to design a folder system that fits the physical space and the types of documents they hold.

By the end of the five weeks, the household has a complete, labelled folder system and a written records map — a document that describes what is stored where and how it is organised. The final session includes a walkthrough with whichever family member the household designates. The programme is strictly organisational and does not involve the handling of legal, financial, or specialist content.

  • Weekly home visits across five weeks
  • Labelled folder system built to fit your home
  • Written records map handed over at close
  • Final walkthrough with designated family member
  • All materials included — folders, labels, printed map

Process

  1. 01. Initial home assessment call — understand household scale and document types
  2. 02. Weeks 1–4: one visit per week building folder sections progressively
  3. 03. Week 5: final visit to complete and review the full system
  4. 04. Records map written and printed; walkthrough with chosen family member

Standards

Shared across all three programmes.

Session privacy

Nothing shared during a session is used outside it. Home visits involve no photography or note-taking that leaves the property.

Written curriculum

Every programme follows a written curriculum reviewed annually. Core content does not vary between participants or session dates.

Voluntary at all points

Any participant can pause, step back from an exercise, or end a session. There is no penalty and no expectation of continuation.

Tangible handover

Every programme ends with a physical handover. The participant holds all outputs — nothing is stored on Threadkin systems.

Scope clarity

Educators are trained to recognise when a question falls outside educational scope and to say so directly, without deflecting.

Annual review

Session notes and participant feedback are reviewed each year to update the curriculum. Participants can see the curriculum on request.
